VanDelay Sports Writers

VanDelaySports.com began as a hobby with Nick and his high school nephew who was looking to make a personalized web page in the late 1990s. At that time Nick provided the content of MAC football & men’s college football and quickly the site took off with a cult following from various MAC fans looking for a forum to discuss their favorite conference teams.

Early on there were three parts of the VanDelay site that really drove traffic to the site. The first was the annual football “PigSkin Preview” which at the time, broke down MAC teams deeper than any other preseason publication in the late 1990s. The second area that began to develop a consistent following was the annual MAC Football Recruiting Analysis which still breaks down the February MAC football classes deeper and more accurately than other publications. The final driver of the site was the weekly “Nick’s Picks” which continues to be a driver of traffic to see his accurate picks and even more stunningly accurate predicted scores on a weekly basis throughout the football season.

Finally, a huge thank you goes out to the MAC fans that have supported and continually visit the site as it has over five million page views during its eleven year run – and counting.
