Temple signed 28 players from five different states. Maintaining their recruiting focus on local talent, Coach Golden and his staff signed 10 players from Pennsylvania which includes six from the Philadelphia area, eleven were signed from New Jersey, three from Virginia and two each from Maryland and Florida. This class went heavy on the defensive side of the ball signing seven defensive linemen, four LBs and five DBs. On offense, five were signed slated for the OL, three for WR and one each for QB, RB and TE. There was one kicker signed. A total of eight players signed come from either a prep school or JUCO. Of note, seventeen members of this twenty-eight person class attended the Temple Football Camp last year.

Temple's Final Analysis:
How is it that Temple can always find so many big and athletic defensive tackles and few other MAC schools can find more than one? The Owls signed an impress group of defensive linemen, especially the DTs. They also add some quality linebackers and defensive backs coming into the program. As an offensively challenged team of late, it was surprising that more impact offensive player-makers were not signed but WR Dean Miller could become a star with his size and athletic ability. It’s also refreshing to see the quality players from the Philadelphia and south Jersey area that are now staying ‘at home’ to play for Temple. Overall this rates as VERY GOOD compared to the rest of the league.
