Final Analysis In my ten years doing these detailed MAC football recruiting analysis, this is the best class I have seen from EMU. There are a lot of solid players across the board and landing Juandez Brown and Eric Morrison is a real coup for Genyk. Don’t be surprised if six or eight of these players make the travel squad this fall. As always with the Eagles, they signed a lot of players with a lot of upside that were not as highly touted as some other MAC schools, but the quality is these ‘diamonds in the rough’ are quite high. This class rates as VERY GOOD compared to other MAC schools this year and should be considered outstanding by EMU’s historic standards.
Of Note: Darrion Brown was a high school teammate of Juandez Brown and turned in a single game best 283 yards and four TDs in one game this past fall… Kyle DeMaster is the b rother of current EMU offensive lineman Dan DeMaster…There are four players with the last name of ‘Brown’ in this class…OL prospect Korey Neal never played organized football until two years ago… Mark VanDenburgh recorded 43 pancake blocks during his injury riddled HS career
