Overview BGSU signed 18 players, which includes three JUCOs. The class is made up of six DBs and five OL prospects, along with two each for QB and DL prospects. There was one each for WR, LB and K. Twelve players come from Ohio, three from California, two from Indiana and one from Georgia. In addition to these 18 players, one additional preferred walk-on was noted, Bart Tanski, Ohio’s Mr. Football Award winner. Tanksi’s addition would mean a total of three QB prospects were added to the program.
Top Players

Bart Tanski, QB, 6-2, 195 Mentor OH – Ohio’s Mr. Football Award winner in 2007 threw for over 3,100 yards and 25 TDs as a senior with just 7 INTs in a spread offense similar to the Falcons’ current offensive system; entering the program as a preferred walk-on.
Final Analysis
The strength of this class clearly is the offensive line prospects. There is tremendous size and ability as five “rocks of granite” were added, including one JUCO prospect that will play right away. While having a class full of OL is never ‘sexy’ to rate a class, BG fans will look back at this incoming group as the foundation to block for several skilled position players who will be recruited in future classes. The three QBs added will definitely make that position much deeper entering the fall campaign. Overall this class rates as VERY GOOD even though there are very few athletic ‘show-stoppers’ to highlight.
