MAC Football Championship Game

The Mid-American Conference (MAC) Football Championship Game is held at the conclusion of each football regular season matching the winners of the MAC East and MAC West.

In the eleven games pitting the MAC Football Divisional winners against each other, the MAC East Champions have gone 7-4 against the MAC West.

The 2007 MAC Championship Game featured the CMU Chippewas, winners of the MAC West, against the Miami RedHawks, winners of the MAC East. 2008 marked the first appearance for both Buffalo and Ball State in the MAC Championship game, and the previously unbeaten Ball State Cardinals, ranked #12 in the BCS, fell to Turner Gill's Buffalo Bulls 42-24 on ESPN2.
