GMAC Bowl

Since the 2001 college football season, the GMAC Bowl has matched up teams from two rival conferences; the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Conference USA (C-USA). With the MAC dominating the first 5 games between the two conferences in going 5-0, C-USA got a measure of revenge as Southern Miss defeated Ohio 28-7 in the 2006/2007 GMAC Bowl. The gave gives these two non-BCS conferences a chance each year to showcase one of their best teams on a national stage. That stage is even bigger now as the GMAC Bowl will be held on January 6th, 2008 at Ladd Stadium on ESPN. Now played on the night before the BCS National Championship Game, the new date and time offers fantastic exposure to the City of Mobile, the MAC, C-USA and of course the schools involved.
