#1 - Akron (4)

15-4
8-1

1

48

RPI #75 - A 2-1 week keeps the Zips on top as the loss @ Ohio really is nothing to worry about. The Zips have another tough week (who doesn't in the MAC East?) as they host Buffalo on Wednesday night before the rivalry game @ Kent on Saturday night.

#2 - Kent State

14-6
8-1

3

44

RPI #126 - The one that got away. That is how the Flashes view the BG game where they were upset at home. A win there and Kent would be #1 in this poll and 9-0 in the MAC. Big week for the Flashes this week @ Ohio and versus Akron.

#3t - Miami

10-8
7-3

4

37

RPI #107 - Miami had a tough stretch of games this week, playing Kent State and then hitting the road for Akron and Ohio. They played the first two tough, but came away with two losses. It was at Ohio where Miami avoided an 0-3 week by easily handing Ohio a 73-59 loss.

#3t - Ohio

12-5
6-3

2

37

RPI #89 - Double digit point losses to Miami and Buffalo have OU fans a bit restless. They're going to need to turn things around this week vs Kent and @ BG.

This just in. The Bobcats will host Samford & Son in the BracketBuster on February 18th.

#5 - Northern Illinois

11-7
6-4

5

32

RPI #117 - They're up, they're down. They win, they lose. The best team in the West followed up a maddening home loss to Toledo by handing it to Central and Eastern Michigan this week. Unfortunately for the Huskies they dropped 40 spots in the RPI last week.

#6 - Buffalo

15-5
5-4

6

29

RPI #103 - Buffalo's win against Ohio seems less impressive than it did just a few days ago, but the Bulls are hanging in there and have the experienced backcourt duo of Calvin Cage and Roderick Middleton to keep them poiesd through the stretch run.

#7 - Western Michigan

8-11
5-4

10

23

RPI #173 - The Broncos were the only team to win all three games during the heavy week of play, yet it is still tough to move them up too far. It is a great sign though for a team beginning to come together and has shot at winning the West.

#8 - Ball State

7-10
3-6

8

19

RPI #199 - The Cardinals defended the homecourt this week knocking off Central Michigan and Toledo. They once again stumbled on the road losing at University Arena in Kalamazoo, but have won 3 of their last 4 games over some decent competition.

#9 - Bowling Green

8-11
4-5

7

18

RPI #225 - Despite going 1-2 last week, it was a good seven days for Falcon fans. Bowling Green lost by just a combined total of eight points to Buffalo and Akron at home and shocked the Golden Flashes in Kent.

#10 - Toledo

10-8
3-7

9

13

RPI #167 - The Rockets won two of their last three, but lost on Sunday in Muncie, and already have an incredible 7 losses in conference play.

#11 - Central Michigan

3-15
1-9

11t

7

RPI #277 - CMU took WMU to double overtime and scored a grand total of 84 points in their other two games this week. When they show up they aren't that bad, but they need to show up more than once a month.

#12 - Eastern Michigan

3-14
0-9

11t

5

RPI #303 - The debate continues to rage on as to whether Eastern is better than Central. We'll have an answer on Wednesday when the Chips come to town.
