#1 - Akron (3)

13-3
6-0

RPI #73 - The undefeated record and tie for 1st place in the loaded MAC East is quite a good resume to be #1 in our Power Rankings. The 8 straight wins and 9-1 record in their last 10 doesn't hurt either.

#2 - Ohio (1)

11-3
5-1

RPI #83 - Bounced back to win at Toledo after a loss @ NIU this past week. The Bobcats face their biggest test of the season so far with games vs. Akron, @ Buffalo and vs. Miami this week; all three games in a 6 day stretch.

#3 - Kent State

12-5
6-0

RPI #119 - Extremely impressive 6-0 start against the MAC West. Their OOC losses are the only thing keeping them from the #2 spot this week.

#4 - Miami

RPI #110 - The loss @ WMU is rough, but it proves yet again how difficult it is to win on the road in the MAC.

#5 - Northern Illinois

9-6
4-3

RPI #77 - The Huskies had a mixed week with a win against Ohio and a loss to Kent. Luckily, not many other teams in the MAC had a flawless week to take their spot atop the West.

#6 - Buffalo

13-4
3-3

RPI #116 - They lost to Central Michigan.

At home.

#7 - Bowling Green

7-9
3-3

RPI #258 - Dan Dakich is doing a fine bit of coaching as his squad hit the road this week and came away with a split in Ypsilanti and Munice. That's good enough to move up for now, but the competition will be tougher the rest of the season in the MAC East.

#8 - Ball State

5-9
1-5

RPI #173 - One can only wonder how good this team would have been if Peyton Stovall wouldn't have gone down in the first week of the season. Facing MAC West should help the Cardinals get a few more W's.

#9 - Toledo

8-7
1-6

7

18

RPI #171 - This team is too talented to keep losing close games. If Toledo doesn't give up on the season they could still make a run at the West title.

#10 - Western Michigan

5-11
2-4

10

14

RPI #198 - The Broncos suddenly find themselves in second place in the West. The young guys are contributing but if Snider or Bufford have an off game, which happens quite a bit, everything falls on the shoulders of Joe Reitz.

#11t - Central Michigan

3-12
1-6

RPI #248 - No longer #12 because they beat Buffalo.

In Buffalo.

#11t - Eastern Michigan

3-11
0-6

RPI #284 - Tied for #11 instead of having it to themselves because CMU beat Buffalo.

In Buffalo.
